Will it be possible to create your own "tilesets"?
Like, grassy and desert?

If there is enough demand we can provide the tools to do that. It is a huge amount of work to make a good looking / good working tile set (more work than it seems). However the payoff can be worth it.
Our near term priorities are getting M in good shape for single and multi-player mission editting and shipping the multiplayer version of the game. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development Team |

scottlu, in response to your post, will there be another beta version of the editor coming out soon, as there are alot of changes that we feel need doing.?
Once you have a new version we can test that and provide better feedback ok the product.
Keep up the good work.! _________________ Wizard

There will be new versions certainly. I'll make a new top level post discussing road map a little bit. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development Team |

yes but i remember the game Jazz Jackrabbit 2, was fun creating levels with your own tilesets there
But you are right, it is hard to create good looking.
So maybe you guys can create some more cool sets _________________ "We are all just prisoners, of our own device"

Editing tilesets would indeed be ridiculously time consuming, and probably not as popular as a sprite editor... imagine the possibilities if you could edit the vehicles, units, and their attributes. It would also be interesting to be able to edit the faces and names within the introductions... Doing these things would make for infinite storylines.
Talking about degree of interest and prioritizing improvements... I would bet that after fixing the bugs, the sprite editor would be on the top of the list. |
