I unzipped the M editor into it's own folder, no problems. I've created a few test levels, and exported them, no problem, played them on the sony, no problem. Here are a few issues with subdirectories:
Issue 1:
A. Created a folder within the M folder called "Levels".
B. Exported level "Test01.ld" to it. ("Test01.pdb")
C. Clicked on "Test01.pdb" to send it the install tool for HotSync. An error occurred saying that file didn't exist.
D. Moved "Test01.pdb" to the desktop. Clicking it sent it to the Install tool, and it was playable.
Issue 2:
A. Copied the "Test01.ld" original to the Levels directory
B. Tried to open "Test01.ld" from M editor. Huge error screen appeared, with many errors:
Failed to Load C:\MissionEditor\Levels\Test01.ld
System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException:Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. -> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file "C:\MissionEditor\Levels\grassy.tc"
File Name:"C:\MissionEditor\Levels\grassy.tc"
{A bunch of other errors occured, but the above is the root.}
C. Copied the grassy .tc to the Levels directory, and "Test01.ld" loaded OK.
Noted that copying grassy.tc to the Levels directory did NOT change the outcome of Issue 1. _________________ Why negotiate when you can just blow things up?

I have this structure:
F:/Warfare Betas/Mission Editor/
F:/Warfare Betas/Mission Editor/levels/
When i copy the map there, i get the same error. It doesnt find the sprite files. So i just copy the sprite's (grassy and desert) to the /levels/ folder and it all works like a charm again.
But when i create a new map, i first open a tile.
When i open the tile from:
F:/Warfare Betas/Mission Editor/
And then create the new "map". I save the map in /levels/ but i dont have the sprite there, the sprite is still in the same folder as M.exe.
I can just work while the map is open. When i close M and restart it, i want to open the map. Again it gives the error.
In other words; it doesnt save the path to the sprite's in the map file.
But its not THAT hard work to just copy the file to the right map.
What would be a nice feature is that when you save it, it looks if the file is in the same folder, if no, M copies it to there.
But its a good bug report, i didnt experience this yet. _________________ "We are all just prisoners, of our own device"

By the way, the font colors you used in your post arent exactly very good readable in the template most users use here _________________ "We are all just prisoners, of our own device"

I use the standard template, and they seem readable to me, but I see your point. _________________ Why negotiate when you can just blow things up?
