|
|
I have been using the level editor and visiting this forum for a couple of weeks now. I have read through the majority of posts and have seen some valid requests with no response. I think we need some more announcements topics for moderator posts to help organize this forum. This would eliminate a lot of redundant posts and help members find answers quickly. It sure would make my return to the board to keep up on what's going on more efficent.
Here is a list of my proposed announcement topics:
Know Bugs - This would prevent members from posting the same bug report several times. New Features - This would contain features that will soon be added to M. Program Variables - This would contain a listing of current variables used in M. (e.g. persistent variables, ranks, cut scene images). FAQ - A listing of the most frequent asked questions with answers
Also, it is my opinion that the Load/Save trigger option is a much needed feature. I find that there are a number of triggers that would be used over and over again with minor variations. It is much easier to modify a few elements of a trigger than to recreate the trigger from scratch.[/list]

Keith thanks for your feedback. I have a stick post that mentions a FAQ and documentation are being worked on actively by Verdagon and Wizard. Although they will be a work in progress for awhile I can ask them if they have something they can post soon.
My stick post also mentioned the prioritization of new features so I won't go over that here again.
The load / save triggers option would load and save *all* the triggers. Given that there are many references to areas that are mission specific not to mention unit groups that are also mission specific, it really doesn't make sense. However I hear what you are saying and will think about how trigger logic can be moved between missions.
Thanks. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development Team |

Load/Save Triggers --
I'm sure you mean from outside your level.
'Cause within a level, you can just copy a trigger and re-use it.

He's asking to have a way to move triggers from one mission into another mission. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development Team |

Yeah, Scott, that's what I figured.
Well, there's always the old:
Save As the first level.
Delete the map and objects...
there are your triggers.

Also - about Bug Reports - yes it would be helpful if people would list *what* the bug is in the Subject line.
Also their platform info.
Like I'm about to.
