OK, this is a little strange.
I was building Galaxite Warehouses in strange places, testing blocking the path. I put on in river ford, etc.
The clever debugger told me I couldn't do that (as opposed to just crashing - I like your debugger!)
So I moved the warehouse. Another was too close to a cliff - moved it.
(I did manage to block the trail, eventually)

But somewhere along the way, the program seemed to think a Warehouse got put outside the border. Maybe I dropped one there, maybe not - certainly didn't mean too. Don't think so - and I was near the 0 border, not the 64 border...

But now I get this message when I try to "Export Mission Pack":

0> (35,63): Error: Side side2 m.Warehouse out of bounds

Probably a unique error, but it has ruined my level, as I cannot now Export. Luckily I Save As all the time.

Oops - I implied, but let me state - there is no Warehouse at those coordinates. I even tried Lassoing the area. Also on the 0 border side.

Oops 2 - I see that concurrent post about the Bug area for posting.
I'll put my future ones there.

Girt, it could easily be a bug in the level validator. Please send me your .ld file: scott@spiffcode.com so I can take a look.

The message :

0> (35,63): Error: Side side2 m.Warehouse out of bounds

Tells you where the error is.! At location 35 across, and 63 down.!
You will find your problem there. No where near the 0 border.

Yes, I know. The point is, there is nothing out there.
I'd delete it if it were there.

I mention the 0 border, because:
a. that's near where I was working, so if anything, it should show up there
b. I'm wondering if it somehow warped from one side to the other
like when you're scrolling down a list, get to the bottom, and you're back at the top again.
If I went past 0, does that put me at 64?
I've no idea exactly how they've coded it.

Once I accidentally made an area go out of bounds. The only way to get it back was this: Open the LevelDoc Properties screen (Settings\Level), and set the Width and Height to 128.

This will let you see if something's out there. Be sure to set it back to 64x64 before you compile.

Hope this helps you sleep....

Oh, I thought I replied to this.

Great idea - I tried it - just set it to 64x64, as it was 60x60, I think.
I worked! No more "Out of Bounds".
Of course, I still couldn't see the building because it's not there...

I had a (64x64) level recently with an HQ near the edge. It kept appearing and disappearing, but only in the game. I finally moved it away from the edge, and the problem went away. I guess I should have reported it, but I wasn't sure of the cause....or if it was real. Question

There is a real bug in the game where if a unit is right against the map limits (64), you get this problem. That is why the bounds start at 1,1,62,62 Wink

Yeah, I kinda figured that. It was happening to mobile units, too. I reduced the boundary, and it went away, but I wasn't sure if it was on all boundaries, or just the bottom.

Girt, I loaded this level which you sent me in email, maximized the editor, scrolled down to 63 (y direction), and there was the warehouse (visible). I deleted it, and then could export without problems. So it wasn't invisible on _my machine_ (famous developer quote).

Any chance it was actually there for you but you didn't scroll down that far? If you did scroll down all the way, what happens if you instead set the zoom level to something small like 50%? I'd like to know why it was visible on my machine but not on yours. Must be that Win98 you're running Wink
