Hello everyone. For some of you, I'm sure this sounds like a stupid question, but then some of you might be as puzzled as I am.
I'm just wondering how the graphics in Warfare Inc were made. (I mean in game sprites, not textures or buttons or such)
How does the artist draw all the different sprites from different angles but keep them identical?
Are they 3d renderings? If so, how was the pixel art effect achieved? Some sort of filter?
Any graphics artists want to clue me in?

Not a stupid question at all. I used to wonder too.
Here explains a bit about the game and how it was made.

All of the unit graphics and animations are hand drawn.
That's a quote from the linked site. It should answer one your questions.

You can see the pixels because the game was released in 2003 and screens couldn't display nearly as many pixels as can be displayed on the current iPhone. The images aren't good quality because they were made for screens that aren't good quality. Bad quality images on good quality screens makes the graphic's pixels look bigger which gives the game a pixel art effect.

Thanks for the response Smile
I wish that it wasn't hand drawn though, that's disappointing for me and my future endeavors.

You're interested in graphics designing?

Am I interested in graphics design?
Yes, very much so. I don't want to be a graphics artist though, I just want to know how to make some graphics for myself. I'm a programmer, and when you want to make a game or a program of any type, and you suck at art, your program looks really bad, no matter how well it's programmed Razz
I am alright with 3d graphics in Blender, but I suck at pixel art and 2d in general.

I do have new artwork, just haven't integrated it into the game. It would be a good chunk of work, since the game is currently 8 bit graphics, and the artwork is 24 bit.

It would be pretty awesome if you had time to add them to the game.
