Why do you not recommend you occupy the triangle?

Actually, you will eventually want to occupy the triangle, just not at first. You see, the triangles activate the replicator, and until you find that, you don't want to activate the replicator, because you never know who might be ready to use it!

Since more than one "triangle" (or replicator pad) is required to activate it, it might be a good idea to go after those, as well, since you don't know who might be standing on them! Or maybe you shouldn't.... Wink

Some say this level is easy. I know I have had a bear of a time getting through it, and now I know why: your troops active the replicator FOR THEM!!!

That should be a bug, because I am quite certain that when they have the control pads I can't use the replicator! So I assumed that they likewise could not use it if I have control of one. And they send scads of troops after me if I do have one, but why? It's working -- why not just kill the base?

It's extremely counter-intuitive, especially given the observable behaviors of the enemy and of the replicator itself.

Perhaps the "science team" (ahem, Jana) could give Andy a warning...

Of course she doesn't because it defies common sense.

It's not a bug, the AI is just sending loads of men to ensure that the replicator does not fall under wrong hands (which, in this case, is ACME).

As soon as you control all three pads, you should already have some mech units (vehicles) ready to be replicated near the entrance. Once that thing powers up you should start cloning your most powerful units with no restraint.
