Hi,
For the third time in a row after almost an hour of playing, my Clié TG50 crashed. (Battery is far from empty)
Upon restart I have two Warfare icons in the launcher, one for the internal memory and one for a memory stick. I play from the memory stick and never actually installed the game on the PDA itself. It seems the moment the program crashes, it backs itself up to the internal memory. Problem is, if I delete the game from the internal memory it still lies on the memory stick and works, but I have to reenter the serial# and all my saved games are lost.
WHY, WHY IS THAT??!?!?
I don't want to repeat all my completed missions over and over again and I don't want to have the game on the internal mem. (just 16MB in the TG50) Can I somehow restore my personal info and data to the memory stick?
Thanks!
(btw, fantastic game (if it weren't for these f*"§$%!& crashes)) |

Allright, I found my savegame files. I removed the game from my Clié and it is on the memory stick again. Which directory should I place the savegame files in? |

Good to see you got it sorted out.
Any program you run from the external card is copied to ram first by the system so it can be used. If the program crashes, the system doesn't delete it from ram, which is why you had two copies. If you delete the one from ram using the palm launcher, it will delete all its preferences as well. The solution is to use a third party application like LeftOvers (free from Palmgear) or some third party launcher to delete the ram version, without deleting the preferences.
Hope this helps if it happens again. |
