|
|
I know this is only supposed to be beta testing of the level editor, but I was thinking that maybe some actual playable missions might result from the testing. At least I am hoping mine will be playable.
Since someone has thought it was a good idea to make a level editor, I guess someone also has an idea of what is to become of any resulting missions? Will Handmark/Spiffcode make them available for download?
The first thing I would like is to have someone "beta test" the levels I am making. Is there a way that I can upload a level to this forum to have other users try it out?

I think sharing levels will help them be tested on different devices and other people will see the level with fresh eyes.
No idea how to post the levels. |

I also asked the level sharing question in thread:
http://www.handmark.com/warfare/forum/viewtopic.php?t=395
I have been working on one level and its coming together ok. The computer is kind of limited right now, but it makes for a good battle. I'm trying to make it tough to play even though I know everything about it. No response from the makers on being able to post a level anywhere, maybe its time to fire an ftp site. I'm only on cable, but most levels are pretty small. Any thoughts? |

You will be able to publish your missions on the main Warfare site. We're putting that together now, more info soon. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development Team |

Great news about being able to publish finished missions on the Warfare site, but how do we go about testing our missions while we are working on them? Is there some way that we can use each others as mission "beta testers"? I know I need feedback on what I am doing.

If you want someone else to test your level, email them your .pdb You'll have to come to some agreement with them, but I don't see why that would be a problem. _________________ Moderator - Handmark Tech Support |

Anyone volunteering to beta test other peoples levels? We could be helping each other out. And it might be fun too. I'll do it.

There are already some people here who have volunteered to be testers for eachothers levels. I think we are all Palm users, isn't that right? It would be nice to have more testers, and it would be nice if someone could test the levels on a PocketPC device.
Please say what kind of device you have if post to say you will help with testing.
I have a Palm Tungsten T3.

Here, until the warfare level page is up, you all can email me your .PDB files. Verdagon@REMOVETHISPARTaol.com .
DO NOT EMAIL ME THE SOURCE FILE! ( .ld )
Please only email the .pdb file.
The site will be warfarelevels.cjb.net .
An alternate site will be wileves.cjb.net .
They will both have the same content...
I have 1 level thats gonna be up there already!
Everyone please pitch in and email your .pdb levels! _________________ [WI Moderator]
