Hi there,
Love the game, though having a hard time getting through Level 2 (trying to make it undetected).
Just wondering, is anyone planning a Strategy Guide?
There's some for other games (ie Aldon's Crossing), and wondering if anyone is planning one for this game.
Thanks,

The "Guide" is on-line. Each Level has its own subforum for discussion. There you will find strategy hints, problems, questions. Ask your own, and there are a lot of people who will help you (be patient, sometimes it takes a day or two, and right now many are helping beta test the new release).
Try clicking http://www.handmark.com/warfare/forum/viewforum.php?f=7&sid=234d0161504a0af3d0692eda7bebcddf for level 2 _________________ Why negotiate when you can just blow things up?

I saw that, there wasn't lots for Level 2.
And I did like the online part, though I was wondering if anyone was going to make another one, with pictures, strategies, etc.
Just for us folks who play while waiting on the bus, etc.
Thanks for your help though, great forums.

At this time I don't know of any guide being set up. I suppose an ambitious user could write a level by level guide for missions that could be easily printed. I suppose we could even attempt to compile a list for users who aren't at a computer when playing ( makes sense since the whole point of this game is that you can play it anywhere )
Anyone interested in taking up this challange?
I also posted a response to your question about being sneaky in the mission 2 forum. _________________ Moderator - Handmark Tech Support |

My wife is going out of town this weekend, so I'm going to have some free time on my hands...
I'll give it a shot, if you like. |

That'd be great, if nothing else, maps would be an awesome start.
Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Thanks,

If anyone could get me a good screen shot of each level (showing as much of the map as possible, but I'll take anything), I would be eternally grateful for at least a week! |

***4-19-04 edit - I deleted the files that were here, as the strategy guide is now complete! Check the General Forum for the topic "Mission Walkthrough" for the final (for now) version
For what it's worth, here's a strategy guide for the first nine missions... I'm still working on the rest.
I compiled these strategies both from personal experience and using (and sometimes combining) strategies from the forum. I've personally won using each strategy on the game's hard setting, and have also tried most of them on the other settings, as well, just to be sure I was being consistent. I know there are quite often better or quicker strategies that could be employed on some of these missions, but I deliberately didn't use the easiest strategy in every case! After all, that's what the forum is for.
Bearing that in mind, if one of the strategies I've outlined is completely unworkable, please feel free to let me know. This is both a rough draft and a work in progress. I'm putting it out there in incomplete form so I can get some early feedback on them. I will update the file as I get more done!
The file is in Doc format, and should be readable by any Doc reader. Again, let me know if you have any problems, and I'll email you a plain text file! More to come...

Odd, I can't read it under my Palm Reader for Windows, and when I try to install it on my Palm, it says:
HotSync operation started 03/02/04 15:50:19
- Invalid handheld file deleted: C:\Palm\ReiterD\Install\Warfare Inc Strategy Guide.PRC
OK Install with 1 message(s)
Any ideas why?
Perhaps I should get that text (or Word Doc) file from you.
Did you have any luck with having photos sent?
Thanks very much, I appreciate your efforts.

PM me your email adress and I'll email you either a plain text file or a Word compatible .rtf file. Or both. Just let me know which. |

PhillipEarl, you might want to just post the rtf, txt, or doc file. That would let each person code it with whatever PDA software they are using, and avoid compatibility issues.
That is, unless you like sending it to each person who PMs you _________________ Why negotiate when you can just blow things up?

Good idea. Duh. You'd think I'd have realized that to begin with. I've updated the link. |

When I downloaded the guide.zip the text file was almost impossible to read and the rich text doc was blank. Something weird is going on here. _________________ Moderator - Handmark Tech Support |

PhillipEarl, you might try changing the extension of the Rich Text file to rtf or doc instead of txt. You also have a file there that is from your Xtrastuf.mac directory. _________________ Why negotiate when you can just blow things up?
